When are you ready to have a home
built just for you?
- When homes you have looked at are “just not right.”
- When all the children have left and the house is “just too big.”
Having a home built for you is a big deal. We try to make this process as smooth and logical as possible by giving you as much information as possible for you to make the right selections to compliment the way you want to live in your new home. There are four main phases to the process, with each having multiple sections. Design, Selection, Contract, and Construction. The Design phase involves a basic layout of the interior and exterior spaces; lot orientation to maximize passive and active solar considerations; and a preliminary budget. The Selection phase deals with making choices on all the interior and exterior finishes: cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, flooring, window style, door style, hardware and finish, etc. And the budget is reworked based on these selections. The Contract phase brings the Design and Selection portions together in a cohesive set of architectural plans. The final phase, Construction, will begin as soon as the building permits are approved and received by our project manager.
